Three collections formed the core of the final toys and collectibles auction of the year last Wednesday.

A collection of ‘N’ gauge rolling stock model trains, boxed EFE buses, Oxford Diecast model vehicles and assorted other toys from a Shropshire collector sold for nearly £2,000. Top prices were £210 each for three groups of ‘N’ gauge rolling stock.

Another local collector sold a collection of Dinky and Matchbox diecast models for £1,800 while a Welsh border vendor saw a collection of boxed Corgi ‘Hauliers of Renown’ limited edition lorries sell for £1,500 in 14 lots.

We are now accepting entries for our auctions in the new year. We hold a free valuation surgery every Monday from 10am to 2pm at our Battlefield salerooms in Shrewsbury.
