If money is no object take your pick of two impressive diamond rings. A solitaire brilliant cut diamond weighing 3.8cts is estimated at £16,000-18,000 and a stunning blue diamond cluster ring is being offered for £18,000-20,000. Keeping with a ‘blue’ theme, we also have a beautiful Art Deco sapphire and diamond bracelet, an Edwardian aquamarine pendant, a tanzanite cluster ring and an impressive sapphire and diamond cluster ring.
A particularly unique piece is an unusual mid-19th century porcelain plaque bracelet. Originally given as an engagement gift, the bracelet is formed of six oval porcelain plaques mounted to entwined links. The central plaque depicts two doves sat upon a wreath of pink roses, with the other four plaques depicting female representations of the four seasons. The engraving to the reverse ‘CMC to LWC May 1852’ relates to Colin Minton Campbell and Louisa Wilmot Cave-Browne-Cave who married 3rd August 1853. Colin Minton Campbell was the grandson of Thomas Minton, founder of Minton Pottery. Estimated at £700-900 it is sure to appeal to both jewellery lovers and ceramic enthusiasts.
Another novel piece is a charming 9ct gold brooch depicting a scene from the popular poem ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’. Formed of yellow, white and rose gold, the boat brooch is mounted with a rowing pussycat and singing owl with emerald set eyes.
