A banknote featuring the Queen with a very interesting feature to go under the hammer in our next Books, Coins and Stamps Auction.

A banknote featuring the Queen with the word 'sex' spelled out in palm trees.
The 50 rupee note was issued by the government of the Seychelles between 1968 and 1973.
With a modest estimate of £40 - £60 because of tears, the lot was brought in at one of our weekly valuation appointments in Shrewsbury.
The note was produced at a time when the Seychelles was seeking independence from Great Britain and it is believed that pro-independence printers incorporated the design into the note.
Seychelles, government issue fifty rupees banknote 1st August 1973
