Maryanne Lineker-Mobberley, Jewellery and Silver Specialist has become a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.

The diploma achievement is celebrated following two years of part-time studying at Birmingham City University, fitting in studies around work in the busy Fine Art team at Halls.

Maryanne joined Halls following a successful work experience placement after attaining a degree in a history of art and architecture the University of Reading four-and-a-half years ago.

“I am delighted to achieve the qualification which has involved a lot of hard work” said Maryanne. She thanked Derek Ainsworth, our watches, jewellery and coins specialist, for his advice and for sharing his knowledge of the industry amassed over 50 years.

Maryanne, who lives near Bridgnorth, joins Sue Davies-Lloyd FGA DGA, who covers North Shropshire, Cheshire and North West England for Halls, as another member of the fine art team to become a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain.

“My ambition is to develop and grow the jewellery department at Halls, which we are well placed to do with the great depth of knowledge and experience that we possess as a team,” said Maryanne.
