Halls Fine Art, are hitting the road again making their way to Weston Park for a series of free Valuation events. The first is scheduled to take place Tuesday 29th June 2021 at The Granary Art Gallery, at Weston Park.
Specialists Gerry Berwyn-Jones and Maryanne Lineker-Mobberley will be available from 10am to 2pm to offer valuations and advice on your items specifically Works of Art, 18th and 19th Century Pictures, Silver and Jewellery.
Maryanne Lineker-Mobberley, Halls Jewellery specialist said: “I love getting out and about, and after such a difficult year for many of us, I’m very much looking forward to being able to meet new people and provide face to face valuations and advice again.
“On a previous trip one lady brought a jewellery box that was full of Victorian and Edwardian brooches and rings that were eventually auctioned for £1000s. In Stockport we identified a Chinese vase that was valued at £150,000 and I remember one person bringing in a painting that they had kept behind their wardrobe that went on to sell for £326,000.
“It’s always fun to be able to tell someone that something they thought was made of glass is actually a diamond, but owners are also genuinely interested in the origins of their belongings. Some of the paintings, vases, jewellery we see may have been in the family for years, and others picked up at car boot sales, and it can be surprising how much we are able to tell their owners about them.”
So if you’ve been watching the Antiques Roadshow and thinking to yourself, ‘I have one of those’, then why not make an appointment with a Halls Specialist and find out the true value of your item?
