“ This utterly beautiful chair which was discovered In a Shropshire farmhouse was my favourite discovery and object that we sold in 2019. This is because not only of its gorgeous gothic proportions, but for its originality, patina and depth of colour and history. Honest and humble, such pieces are often heavily altered and restored as the passing centuries take their toll. However, this 18th century piece has stood the test of time, clearly looked after and loved, with only the most minor of alterations. So there it sat, quietly watching the momentous changes and events in history witnessed between its conception and now, waiting to be found”
