Halls is back in business


Halls is fully back in business and we will be holding our first sale since March on Wednesday 17th June. Viewing will be by appointment only and will be limited to 6 people at a time. To book a viewing slot please contact us on 01743 450700. The saleroom on sale day will not be open to room bidders but bids may be made, as usual, online, by telephone or by leaving a commission bid, providing ID to comply with money laundering regulations, for those who have not done so before. If you would like to bid via telephone or commission please contact us by 4.30pm the day before the auction as we will be unable to facilitate these the morning of the sale.

Due to ongoing government guidelines and in the interest of the safety of all our staff and customers we ask all of our clients for their forbearance when registering, purchasing and collecting.

We are also offering a full valuation service including sale and probate for silver, jewellery, pictures, works of art, ceramics, glass and furniture. House visits are permitted given rules and regulations are compiled with such as social distancing. 

The Halls Fine Art team very much looks forward to meeting existing and new clients, albeit under difference circumstances than before March. Wishing all of our followers, supporters and clients a happy and healthy time ahead.


Covid-19 Health & Safety Guidelines

Anyone entering the building must adhere to the following guidelines:

-If you have virus symptoms, you must not enter the premises in any event
- If you acquire virus symptoms within 14 days of visiting any of our premises, please ensure you advise Halls accordingly
- Wash your hands on arrival, or at the very least apply the provided hand sanitiser
- 2 metres social distancing must be adhered to at all times
- Avoid touching surfaces as fully as possible
- Where a pedestrian route is marked out, please adhere to it
- Halls will endeavour to wipe with sanitiser regularly touched surfaces during the course of the working day, as well as at the end of the working day
- If you'd prefer to wear a face mask, please bring your own (if you need face masks and gloves, they are available upon request, for a fee of £1 each)

For anyone viewing an auction:
- You must have previously booked an appointment to view
- If you’d prefer to wear a face mask, please bring your own
- There is a one way system marked out by arrows on the saleroom floor, please stick to this system
- These arrows are also 2 metres apart so please keep at least one arrows distance away from anyone else in the saleroom
- You will be given a 10 minute warning for when your hourly slot will be over
- Please exit the building through the fire door at the back of the saleroom

For anyone collecting goods:
- You must have previously booked an appointment to collect
- If you’d prefer to wear a face mask, please bring your own
- Please allow our porters to fetch your item(s) and hand them over safely

For anyone consigning goods:
- You must have previously booked an appointment to see a specialist
- If you’d prefer to wear a face mask, please bring your own
