After a somewhat chequered career including spells in the hotel industry, engineering, and as a croupier in a casino, Chris has been dealing in rare books for the last 25 years. His wide collecting interests include Captain Webb memorabilia, images of the Ironbridge, and funeralia. He is also keenly interested in local history and has researched and written several short articles. He is heavily involved in charitable work and is a trustee of two charities concerned with the welfare of the elderly, an area in which his family has been actively involved for the past hundred years. He has owned a 1964 Jaguar Mark 2 for more than three decades.
Chris has been a consultant to Halls since 2015, where he values and catalogues books, manuscripts, autographs and maps. He is always at Halls on the first Monday of the month, and can be contacted at other times by appointment.
