A German hardbound Adolf Hitler cigarette card/picture card book, published 1935; sold together with a photograph album compiled by a member of an Engineer Battalion with the 21st Army Group, circa 1944/45.
The album includes photographs of Belgium, Holland and Germany. Scenes include, 'The 88mm on the Roundabout'; destruction on the road from Nijmegen to Cleve; "Victory" Bridge (constructed over the Rhine river by the 332nd Engineer General Service Regiment), Railway Recces, the Autobahn, more mundane scenes like the cat adopted by the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, alongside views of ruin and destruction, etc, together with a small number of postcards. Housed in an album with a formation shield on the cover, most photographs are captioned.
