Condition Report
The painting is an oil on canvas, framed without glazing. The canvas has been relined and has good tension, no signs of any holes or tears. The paint has surface level craquelure throughout, but no obvious paint loss and the surface appears stable. The painting has been cleaned and there has been some paint restoration to the right hand of the subject. There is a surface level scratch to the left shoulder- without paint loss. There are some general surface level accretions. The gilt frame has surface cracks but no major losses and the joints are solid.
