A Victorian garnet, emerald and enamel snake necklace, designed as a stylised snake with emerald set eyes and cabochon garnet head, its teeth suspending a cricular locket pendant set with central cabochon garnet within white enamel border set with garnet drop, the pendant and drop each with removable glazed aperture, all with concealed push clasp, chain measures approx 36cm long, pendant measures approx 53mm (from snakes head to drop), not stamped, weight approx 18.2g (some restorations)

Condition Report

Repair to a couple of the links of the chain (located half way up one side of the chain and where the chain attaches to the scrolling head), some solder present where the circular locket attaches to the mouth of the snake, some incipient cracks to the garnets and slight abrasion, small dents to the circular locket, clasp in working order and secure, general wear throughout, refer to images
