A pair of Walton Staffordshire pearlware lions,
circa 1820-30,
each modelled seated on a grassy mound with bocage behind, 'Walton' within scroll mark to each reverse,
10.6cm high
(2) (restoration to one section of bocage)

Literature: Myrna Schkolne book; People, Passions, Pastimes and Pleasures. Staffordshire figures 1810-35. Chapter 10 is devoted to figures associated with Menageries.
