An unusual Regency gilt gesso overmantel mirror

An unusual Regency gilt gesso overmantel mirror, of slightly inverted breakfront form, the concave cornice with applied balls, above a frieze with a landscape mirror, flanked on each side by an oval mirror, each painted with a bird, above a large central plate, flanked by narrow mirrors, interspersed by reeded pilasters with foliate capitals, minor damage, 90cm wide x 105cm high

Condition Report

Silvering almost disappeared on 'bird' plates. Much of the right 'bird' plate rubbed. Central frieze mirror cracked.

Small isolated chips on gilding, including cornice, one ball on right and edges etc. Later finish on frame.
