A Victorian scrapbook, containing a multitude of overseas topographical watercolours and pencil drawings, including the port on Muscat, titled and dated 1854, a Company School watercolour and many of what is possibly South Africa, many others of Indian sights, including 'Puttam? Temple' and other mosques, temples and landscapes, including 'Elephanta', most indistinctly titled and dated, album a/f, very damaged.

Vendor's wife's forebear. Thence by descent.

Condition Report

Binding a/f, very damaged. Interior with some damage, some pages torn and some works marked etc. Overall - colours fresh and most works on paper ok.

There are about 71 paintings and drawings, the majority have identifications or handwritten inscriptions on the verso with dates 1850s and 1860s. The majority measure roughly 38 x 55 cm and the smaller sheets roughly 25.5 x 35.5 cm 

Bidding indicates acceptance of the condition of the lot.  All lots are sold subject to general wear and tear commensurate with age and handling over time and only obvious faults will be mentioned after a visual inspection.
