A Chinese polished bloodstone jasper egg

Qing/Republic period

The mottled dark red stone with iridescent green streaks polished into an egg form, with hardwood stand, 5.5cm, weight 90g, together with a malachite 'scholars rock' brush washer,

Qing Dynasty, the mottled green stone carved and polished as a rock formation with shallow dished top, with associated hardwood stand, 7.5cm across, a carved and polished malachite figure of a Buddhist lion with associated hardwood stand, 6cm long, and a carved malachite figure of a guardian lion and cub with hardwood stand , 5.5cm long. Condition Report

Egg: Surface a little dull and would benefit from polishing. No discernible damage.


Malachite brush washer: Stone weight 206g. Fine hairline fissure. Some signs of age throughout. Please refer to images.


Buddhist lion: Minor signs of age. Please refer to images.


Lion and cub: Stone weight 94g. Negligible signs of age. Please refer to images.
