An unusual Caughley coffee cup, circa 1785-90, with plain strap handle, the body moulded with flowerheads and leaves, painted in underglaze blue with a design taken from the 'French Sprigs' pattern, to the interior, with associated blue line border to edges, painted S mark, 6.2cm high

Provenance: The C.R. Pilkington Collection, exhibited at the Coalport China Works Museum. Further exhibited at Caughley Bicentenary Exhibition 1999, no. 502.
