A Caughley egg drainer painted with the Island pattern, circa 1780-90, with an associated segmented border, S mark, 8.2cm diameter (hairline) Provenance: Wright Collection no. 244, purchased from K&K 1981. This pattern which is one more commonly found on toy wares, though as demonstrated here it was, perhaps uncharacteristically, also used on full sized drainers.
