A Caughley egg cup transfer-printed in the Fisherman or Pleasure Boat pattern, circa 1780-90, unmarked, 5.8cm high (restored chip) Provenance: Wright Collection no.617, purchased in 1999 from Turner. Literature: Godden, 'Caughley and Worcester Patterns', p.95 notes that 'When decorated with the Fisherman or Pleasure Boat design, the price was 8d for the high egg 'stand''.
