early 19th century
with revolving over and under barrels with rifling to the fore-end, the steel foliate-engraved frame with a hidden trigger and a hammer formed as a fish, the closely chequered walnut grip with a blank oval escutcheon, proof marks to barrels, overall length 16.5cm
