Two First World War medal pairs - KSLI and Shropshire Yeomanry

Two First World War Medal pairs, comprising a Victory Medal and War Medal awarded to "1851 Pte. W. Pratt Shrops. Yeo."; together with his silver war badge, five uniform buttons, a KSLI cap badge and his discharge notice. Sold together with a further medal pair awarded to "24701 Pte. E. Davies, K.S.L.I" (the War Medal with incorrect Victory ribbon)

Notes: Private William Pratt (b.1890) enlisted for service on 26th September 1914, first with the Shropshire Yeomanry and later transferring to the 3rd Battalion King's Shropshire Light Infantry (service number 26686). He was declared unfit and discharged on 27th October 1917 after suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. See attached additional images for related paperwork confirming entitlement to medals and the silver war badge.

Private Edwin Davies (b. 1892) was discharged on 5th May 1919 and also suffered a gunshot wound to the knee.
