OLD BAILEY PROCEEDINGS. The proceedings on the King's Commission of the Peace, Oyer and Terminer, and Gaol Delivery for the City of London; and also the Gaol Delivery for the County of Middlesex, held at Justice-Hall in the Old Bailey. 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th February 1761. Number III part I. Bound with parts II and III for the same dates. Stab sewn as issued. With another copy of part I, and similar Proceedings for 21st-26th February 1753 (number III part II); 20th-25th April 1757 (2 parts, number IV and number IV part III); 10th & 11th May 1758 (number V); and 27th & 28th February and 1st March 1734 (number III), this last issue somewhat foxed.

A fascinating account of court cases at the Old Bailey. Many of the crimes committed are petty theft (a linen sheet, a bedside carpet) but other crimes include burglary, robbery and murder. Sentences include whipping, transportation and death (7)
