First World War medal pair, Memorium card and group of assorted badges

WW1 pair of Allied Victory Medal and British War Medal awarded to "241049 Pte. D. Balfour. R. Highrs"; together with a funeral 'In Loving Memory' card dedicated to Lance Corporal R. Balfour, 16th Battalion Canadian Scottish, five Scottish regimental cap badges, a Royal Engineers badge, a Second World War King's "Loyal Service" silver war wound lapel badge, two 1977 crowns and an 1890 crown coin.

Notes: Pte. David Balfour (born 5th Nov 1863) was killed in action on 28th May 1918 in France. His relative, Pte. R. Balfour was initially reported wounded and missing, with news of his death due to a gunshot wound to the head coming several days later from the German Prisoner of War camp at Marcoing where he was being treated (see uploaded records for further detail).
