Richard Assheton Cross, 1st Viscount Cross, RAC was Home Secretary between 1874 and 1880 and 1885 and 1886. Notes: Prehaps the most notable political success of RAC was the Artizans and Labourers Dwellings Act 1875 (known as the First Cross Act) which was the first attempt at urban renewal for working class areas in industrial Britain.
