The painting is an oil on canvas, framed without glazing. The canvas having good tension without any obvious evidence for rips, tears, holes. The paint surface appears to be stable without any major evidence for paint loss or deterioration. There are some surface accretions, including a larger one to the male duck's neck and some spots of dirt. The frame is in good condition with minor evidence for wear and tear
