Joan Baker NDD ATD (b.1943) is a Shropshire based artist who studied at the Wolverhampton College of Art and Birmingham University. She has been regularly exhibiting her work since the late 1970s and teaches at the Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology. Baker is most well known for her watercolours and draws her inspiration from the countryside of Shropshire and Pembrokeshire, exploring the concept of light and space within the landscape. Her work has been accepted at the RA, RBA, RWS and RI, and she has sold works across the UK, Europe, Australia, Canada and the Middle East.
