A small Staffordshire 'Whieldon' creamware teapot and cover
circa 1750
the globular body applied with sprigs of fruiting grapevine issuing from the crab stock handle, the glaze with splashes of blue, green and manganese, 8cm high and approximately 14cm across.

Sold for £170


Condition Report

Crazing to the glaze throughout. X shaped hairline visible to the interior of the teapot. Restoration to the very tip of the spout and two restored chips to the cover. Restored break near the rim of the teapot, approximately 2cm wide x 2cm deep.
