A 19th century white marble and ormolu cased portico type mantle clock by Vauchez, Paris

A 19th century white marble and ormolu cased portico type mantle clock, the drum cased movement with a white enamel dial, with black and puce Arabic numerals, signed centrally Vauchez a Paris, raised on two lyre shaped pillars with inset porcelain cartouches, below blossoming ormolu sprigs, surmounted with a classical urn finial draped with foliate garland, over a rectangular platform decorated with further highly detailed ormolu mounts, raised on six inverted feet, the movement plat unmarked, complete with sun burst pendulum and key, 52 cm high, 35 cm wide.

Condition Report

Appears to be in generally sound condition with no obvious signs of damage or issue.


Glue residue vivible beneath the base of the dial, but no issue with the enamel visible.


Cosmetic blemishes commensurate with age and use.
