A Caughley sucrier and cover transfer-printed in a rare underglaze blue Three Flowers and Hips pattern, circa 1775-1783, S mark, 12.5cm high Provenance: Wright Collection no.943, purchased in 2013 from Ebay. Literature: Newsletter May 2014 No 58 pp 23-4, and The Caughley Society, Caughley Blue and White Patterns, p.119 where it is noted that this pattern is only known on sucriers, and may have been the standard pattern for sucriers in tea services.
