A pair of Japanese Satsuma sleeve vases, Meiji/Taisho era
Of waisted form with flared rims and bases, finely decorated with scenes of bijin in landscape settings, reserved against a dark blue and gilt ground, indistinctly signed, with hardwood bases, 30.5cm high.

Rubbing to gilt in places, particularly to the cell panels centre.
