Taxidermy: A Victorian peacock (Pavo cristatus), perched on a birch branch, set on an associated brass column above a mahogany baluster stem raised on four carved scroll feet, 213cm high (bird approx. 165cm beak to tail tip).

Condition Report
The bird is in fair condition with some fading to the plumage, the head at something of an angle - would benefit from a sensitive restoration.  The base is associated and a confection of birch branch, brass pole and a mahogany centre table pedestal, of relatively recent construction.  Condition fair with some scratching to the pole and some splits to the lower part of the base stem.
