An interesting private purchase Indonesian Officer's sabre

An interesting and unusual private purchase Indonesian (Dutch Colonial) Officer's Cavalry sabre in the European style
circa 1830-50
the hilt with a warrior head mascaron to the langet and lion's head pommel, the blade probably by Solingen with etching to 1/4 of the length, further engraved with flowers and a rose to the back-edge, blade length 80cm, overall length 93cm, housed in black leather and brass-mounted scabbard

Footnote: A number of higher-ranking Indonesian officers presented or purchased similar European-style sabres with French or German manufactured blades.
