Rare Coalport elephant condiment holder set

A rare Coalport elephant condiment holder set, circa 1875, modelled as a dark green elephant holding gilt pannier baskets for pepper and mustard, with a further basket at its feet for salt, printed Coalport CSN marks to the condiment holders, alongside 'Registered November 16th 1875', overall height 14cm high

Provenance: The Ivor Southorn Collection. Previously loaned to the Coalport Museum for the 'Coalport at the Court of the Tsar -1996 Bicentenary Exhibition'.
