The film was first screened in North American on 25 May 1977, but was not previewed in the UK until 7 months later on 27 December 1977. 11th June is less than 3 weeks after the US premiere. With two tickets for the special screening for crew members for the Empire Strikes back on 4 May 1980. This was 16 days before the charity premiere on 20 May 1980 (3)
