Francis Kelly (1927-2012) was an American artist from Minnesota. He studied at the University of Hawaii and also under the printmaker John Paul Jones at the UCLA, before arriving in London in the 1950s having been awarded the Fulbright Grant to undertake a diploma in etching. He had success with etchings, regularly showing his work at Editions Graphiques. Kelly also studied painting conservation at the Courtauld Institute and was commissioned to aid in the restoration of flood damaged art in Florence. Kelly is well known for his representations of the female form and landscapes inspired by his love of the Devonshire countryside.

The print is framed and glazed, the frame condition is good with minor signs of wear and tear. The print has full margins. The paper is in good condition, there are no visible signs of deterioration and no visible tears or creasing.
