A late 19th century suite of amethyst jewellery, comprising; a necklace, bracelet, brooch, earrings and ring, the necklace designed as seven oval mixed cut amethysts collet set in yellow metal and interspersed with two chain links, with box link clasp, approx 38cm long, the bracelet formed of eight graduated oval mixed cut amethyst links, with box link clasp, approx 19cm long, the single oval mixed cut amethyst brooch measures approx 32mm x 25mm, the earrings each designed as an amethyst pear shaped drop mounted with single oval mixed cut amethyst, with screw fittings stamped '9ct', 37mm long, the oval mixed cut amethyst ring collet set in yellow metal to yellow metal shank, ring size N, total weight approx 128.5g, all presented within original Garrards & Co fitted box

Condition Report

Necklace/choker- Largest amethyst measures approx 25mm x 21mm x 12mm deep, smallest approx 21mm x 17mm x 10mm deep, some slight abrasion to the stones but no significant visible damage,colour zoning seen with eye but no obvious significant inclusions, some repairs to chain attachments, general wear, refer to images


Bracelet-very slight abrasion to stones but no significant visible damage, colour zoning seen with eye but no obvious significant inclusions, some solder present at link connections, general wear, refer to images


Brooch- a few small nibbles to table facet, possible repair/replaced bar, general wear, refer to images


Earrings- colour zoning seen with eye but no obvious significant inclusions, general wear but no significant visible damage, refer to images
