Condition Report

The painting is an oil on canvas which is framed without glazing. The canvas has several small repairs with patches verso but there do not appear to be any additional rips or tears. There is some warping of the canvas, most concentrated around the edges where the canvas rests upon the stretcher frame and in the top right and bottom left corners. There are some small accretions present and dirt upon the surface. The paint surface appears to be stable, there is surface level craquelure throughout but no visible paint loss resulting. There are some small chips to the paint bottom-centre and bottom-right as well as some abrasions in the lower right corner. There has been some retouching to the paint which correlate with the repairs. The frame has evidence for general wear and tear and some surface losses including one 23 cm bottom and top right, also the outer edge top-right side. e.
