A First World War child's uniform for a Staff Sergeant of the Royal Army Medical Corps (Territorial), comprising a tunic with rank chevrons and crown to the arms, brass buttons, 'T/5' and 'T/RAMC' shoulder titles, 'Canada' general service collar badges, white lanyard and a 1902 coronation medal with ribbon, with matching pair of trousers

Provenance: Sold together with an original Daily Mirror newspaper clipping dated February 15th 1915, with a photograph of the original owner in the uniform, captioned 'Little John Bull at the Meet'. Children wore such types of uniform as patriotic symbols, often made up with the insignia of their father's branch of service. Scarce item.

Condition Report

Heavily worn with rips and losses, particularly to the trousers. The tunic has a hole near one pocket.
