together with a faience deskstand with inkwell, modelled as a lion with single paw on a shield bearing coat of arms, the well inscribed 'Grand Distillerie Boitel et Giraud', 34cm wide (stapled repair) (3)

Note: The 1889 Exhibition of Saint-Étienne mentions Boitel et Giraud receiving a gold medal for their alcohol.
