A Swansea botanical tureen, cover and plate and 19th century tea/coffee wares

A Swansea botanical dessert tureen and cover, circa 1810, painted with named specimens titled in iron red to the base and interior cover, 15.5cm high; a matching Swansea botanical plate decorated with 'Sweetpea', 21.7cm diameter, together with group of English porcelain tea and coffee wares
19th century, comprising Coalport 'Japanese Grove' coffee cup, two saucers, cream jug and plate; a Spode teacup and saucer, transfer-printed in pink with a silver lustre rim, further black printed teacup and saucer, a pink and gilt teacup and saucer, a bat-printed coffee can and similar saucer, Keeling-type puce-decorated tea bowl and saucer etc

Condition Report

Swansea tureen has a small inner rim chip. Swansea plate with 1cm wide restored rim chip. Both with some minor enamel rubbing to the edges and some sections of losses/flaking to the painted specimens alongside some minor rubbing.


 


Japanese Grove saucers 14.5cm diameter. 1 saucer badly cracked, the other has a rim chip. Heavy rubbing to gilding on all pieces.
