A German Third Reich Gendarmerie Rural Police Officer’s visor cap by Erel
constructed of green doeskin with a brown woollen centreband, three rows of green waffenfarbe, a tricolour cockade and aluminium police eagle, the chinstrap of silver bullion and held in place by two silver pebble buttons, the black vulcanfibre peak with a cross-hatched tan underside and with a pale brown silk lining, the pinkish brown sweatband stamped “Erel Stirnschutze”, further markings to liner and with black and silver label marked ‘C. KRALKA Mutzen & Uniform Effekten LINZ a.D Hafferistrasse 11’
