A Bosun's cosh, 19th century

A Mariner's/Bosun's cosh or persuader, 19th century, bound in rattan with double-weighted ends, with leather wrist strap, 24cm long

Condition Report
One breakage to the edge of one section of the wood and two further smaller chips elsewhere to the wood. The rattan around one end is beginning to slightly fray/become loose. The leather wrist strap is beginning to degrade slightly toward the end secured around the cosh. Please see additional images.
