A Milton Shield, by Elkington & Co, after Morel Ladeuil (1820-1888), the electroplated shield of oval form with ropetwist border, the panels embossed with scenes from 'Paradise Lost', the central plaque depitcing the Archangel Raphael telling Adam and Eve of the war in heaven, engraved 'Morel Ladeuil Fecit 1866 Elkington & Co', mounted to wood with brass plaque engraved 'N.P.R.S. National Challenge Shield won by Birmingham Athletic Club Team F.H. Jenkins', shield measures approx 84.5cm x 64.5cm
