Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe OBE RA (1901-1979) Seabirds Flying over the Waves, watercolour and pancil, 37.5 x 54 cm, frame 61 x 76 cm

This was a preparatory study for his painting The Ninth Wave, which was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1949. Verso is attached a copy of an exhibition catalogue for David A Cross Fine Art Easter Exhibition in 1981. It was loaned by the vendor to Oriel Môn for their Charles Frederick Tunnicliffe exhibition 2019-2020.
