A cased pair of English flintlock duelling pistols by Joseph Gulley, London
circa 1810-15
with 9-inch. hexagonal smoothbore barrels with sights, signed 'GULLEY LONDON' to the top flat of the barrel and 'GULLEY' to the lockplate, with crown over G.P and crown over V proof and viewer's marks, full stocked with brass mounts and chequered grips, brass-capped wooden ramrods, contained in their green baize lined mahogany case with paper manufacturers label (giving the address of 254 Oxford Street, London); the box complete with powder flask, two groups of lead roundballs, starting rod, two different sized round ball moulds (one marked '18', the other unmarked, and a set of spare additional different size bore damascened barrels manufactured by William Fullerd, London, signed to the top flat and further initialled 'WF',

Condition Report
Trade label dimensions- 11.6cm w x 8cm high. When viewed with an endoscope, the interiors of the barrels on the pistols do have some pretty even rust and surface dirt build up to both. There does not appear to any significant areas of serious corrosion, though. One pistol has a roundball visible stuck down the barrel.

The additional barrels have some patched areas of rust to the interior.
