A Chinese sancai model of a chair and a relief moulded tile, Ming Dynasty

A Chinese sancai Mingqi funerary model of a chair, Ming Dynasty, 16th century
Of horseshoe-back form, based on a 'jiao yi' folding armchair, decorated with green and ochre glazes, 20cm high, together with a relief moulded tile panel, also Ming Dynasty, of horizontal aspect and moulded with an ox with a moon and clouds, 59cm long x 20cm high. (2)

Provenance:

Private English collection. The chair acquired by the present vendor from Robert McPherson Antiques.

Condition Report
Chair: Back repaired to a break above the splat and to the right arm support.  Chipping to front basal support.
Tile: Horn re-glued.  Chipping to edges.  General signs of age.
