Purchased by the vendor in 1979 while serving as a fighter pilot at RAF Brawdy in Pembrokeshire. The jeweller who supplied the watch, Howells of Haverfordwest, are still a going concern. A photograph accompanying the lot was taken of the vendor while flying in formation, shortly after purchasing his Speedmaster.

Condition Report

• Case and back: Light scratches and micro-abrasions consistent with age and use, more pronounced on the lugs. Back gasket has vulcanised and needs replacing.
• Crystal: Fine abrasions overall.
• Dial: Good.
• Hands: Good.
• Strap: Later replacement. Links a little stretched. Scratches to clasp.
• Movement: Winds, sets and runs. Chronograph functions correctly. The vendor advises that the watch has been serviced within the last five years.
• Accompaniments: Omega box has some wear, especially to the inside hinge cover. Outer box fair with some signs of age. Instruction booklet has some wear/signs of age. Guarantee has minor signs of age.
