Taxidermy: a leopard skin rug with head attributed to Van Ingen

Taxidermy: a leopard skin rug (Panthera pardus), circa 1920s-30s, probably mounted by Van Ingen, flatskin rug with head mount, jaw agape, glass eyes, with limbs outstretched, backed onto dark blue cotton material with red border, numbered 12519/18, 198cm nose to tail, 134cm across the forelimbs.

Condition Report
Losses to lower jaw/mouth. Fur worn in small patches on head and ears. Patches of fur loss to flanks. Large hole on back left rump. All but one claw lacking. Later wall fixing bracket applied.
