A collection of ivorine printed and painted, two-dimensional 'Cecil Aldin' figures, by repute used by Cecil Aldin as props for his pictures, including 4 huntsmen and a huntswoman, largest approximately 13.5cm and smallest 10cm long, 6 hounds largest 8.2cm and smallest 3.5cm long and a signpost, 10.2cm high, in a cardboard box 'Hunting by Cecil Aldin' (13)

Provenance:

Lindsey Knapp (Victoria Gallery). This collection was bought from Bearnes Hampton and Littlewood on the 19th of February 2014 for £190. In the catalogue description it stated '...figures of huntsmen and hounds reputedly used by Cecil Aldin for composing drawings. Given by the artist to a friend Mr A E Arnold, whilst living in Shanghai.'

Condition Report

Figures - generally ok. Some minor chips on paint finish.

Box - stained (including old sellotape marks) and with small tears and and hand-written inscriptions.
