Condition Report
The brown looking marks are surface dirt and come off with a gentle clean, appears to be a combination of nictotine residue and dust. This plaque has not been examined out of the frame but there are no obvious signs of damages or repair.

There is some rubbing to the neck of the chicken and two further areas of paint loss to the left of the chicken, in the area of shrubbery.

There is no crazing to the glaze or any further signs of blemishes.

Research on the artist has found that Peter Platt joined the factory in 1951 and was active until the 1970s. He normally painted fruit or cattle, so this is an unusual scene for this painter.
