A George II, well figured walnut veneered dressing chest

A George II, figured walnut veneered dressing chest, the moulded rectangular top, 1/4 veneered, cross-banded and feather-banded, above a frieze drawer, over an apron drawer with a kneehole below, a cupboard behind, flanked on each side by 3 short drawers, raised on bracket feet, lacking elements and some detached, damaged, 82cm wide x 49.5cm deep x 77cm high

A private Herefordshire estate.

Condition Report

Overall not bad condition and a very good colour and well figured, apart from lacking front right corner of top. Back left foot detached and some moulding and veneers detached too.


Scratches, dents and chips consistent with age and use. lacking some small sections of veneer, including small section on the front right corner, adjacent to the missing corner.
